Exeter Football Team Smashes Fundraising Goals with Gold Athletics

The Exeter Blue Hawks football program has long been a powerhouse both on the field and off, and this year, they raised the bar even higher. In their 27th consecutive year of fundraising under the leadership of Fundraising Coaches Blaise and Jeff Whitman, the Blue Hawks achieved their most successful effort yet, raising over $46,000 in just over a week with Gold Athletics. The team's 101 players, led by their dedicated Coach Ball and supported by enthusiastic boosters and the guidance of Jeff & Blaise Whitman, exceeded their goal by harnessing the power of Gold Cards and the Gold Athletics' GA app. This record-breaking effort highlights the strong bond between the team and their local community, making fundraising more efficient and effective than ever before.

The fundraising efforts kicked off on a Thursday and Friday, with half the team starting each day, and it all culminated in a highly anticipated Blitz Night the following Friday. During Blitz Night, over 100 Blue Hawk athletes donned their game jerseys, received clear instructions, and hit the streets for an all-out push to close the sale, finishing the fundraiser strong.

The Blue Hawks knew what they had to do: sell as many Blue Hawk Gold Cards as possible and ask their supporters for donations to hit their ambitious goal. The team set a target of $41,000—a figure based on the number of players, each expected to contribute their part. With 101 athletes, it was no small feat. But they didn’t just hit that target; they blew past it by selling Gold Cards and bringing in donations.
