For over 25 years, the Massachusetts High School Football Coaches Association (MHSFCA) Scholarship has been a beacon of recognition for student-athletes who exemplify outstanding leadership, character, and dedication. Originally established by one of our veteran Fundraising Coach's (shoutout Steve Ash), this tradition has flourished under Gold Athletics, ensuring that young athletes continue to be rewarded for their excellence both on and off the field.

Recognizing the Best in High School Football

As the official fundraising sponsor of MHSFCA, Gold Athletics proudly presents the Massachusetts High School Football Leadership Scholarship, awarding $2,000 to one deserving senior football player each year. This scholarship not only honors athletic performance but also highlights the leadership qualities that make an athlete a role model in their school and community.

For the Class of 2025, nominations are open now, with a final submission deadline of February 28, 2025.

The Impact of the MHSFCA Scholarship

Previous recipients of the MHSFCA Scholarship have gone on to achieve remarkable success in both academics and athletics. Many have used the scholarship to assist with college expenses, while others have taken their leadership skills into military service or community development initiatives. The common thread among winners is their ability to inspire and lead, traits that continue to shape their futures long after their high school football days have ended.

What We Look For in a Winner

The selection committee evaluates nominees based on the following criteria:

  • Must be a Senior Football Player graduating in 2025.

  • Plans to continue to college or military service after graduation.

  • Demonstrates exceptional character and leadership on and off the field.
